The 10 bolt rear ends in these cars are junk hand mine rebuilt twice and it needs it again G.M.should have used a 12 bolt rear end. The front turn signal housings are junk they get hot and crack do to the heat the bulb gives off. The ls1 motor is bullet proof in my own opinion have given it many beat downs the 4l60e transmission shifts flawlessly took it to muncie drag way two weeks ago and ran in the 12.9s in the 1/4 thats with 154000 miles on it .

Although I put a new top on it in 2010 it has recently started to leak. I think it is the rubber seal that needs to be replaced. The driver seat has ripped and needs to be recovered.

It's a sport car yes and no not greatest of all traction in the lovely winters cough cough but in reality I've had to drive my car to work on occasion and all I can say is it does the job it performs in the summer its power comes out overall it's a great sports car I've had a Camaro which is basically the same but the fine body lines and aerodynamics are more efficient it seems to me. Proud owner of my 99 and grateful to own one of the last of a dying breed.
